iPhone ringtone - Personalisation.

No need for extra software.

Find the track you want as ringtone in itunes, music library, right click it and create AAC, you see it will appear below the original version, I then just drag this to desktop just to make it easy to find.

Convert your file from m4a to m4r
From the start button go to >Control panel > appearance >folder options> view> untick the box, "hide extensions for known file types" and hit the apply button.

Now go to the desk top and rename your ringtone, by right clicking on it from 'YourTune.m4a' to 'YourTune.m4r' (Your tune being the name of the song you have chosen)

Go back to
Control panel > appearance >folder options> view> re-tick the box, "hide extensions for known file types" and hit the apply button.

Drag the file to iTunes to ringtones or directly onto your phone.
It worked for me (time taken 2 minutes..)
