I returned home to my native Britain in 2009 where I felt like a stranger for at first. - After so many years of summers in the Greek Islands, & winter skiing in the Alpes. The very remote Greek Island of Symi, was where I called home.
As part of a millennium resolution and my early I signed up to study with the Open University. Distance learning fitted around my unusual life style and work pattern, as I was regularly commuting across Europe and beyond, fitting freelance, and agency work in to a hectic schedule of summer seasons and overnight flights in and out of Athens and many adventourous trips by land or sea, most of my study was done in transit!
I graduated (2008) with a BSc (Hon’s) Information Technology & Computing, and continue to have a keen interest in the fast changing world of technology, being especially interested in Human Computer Interaction, (HCI) and the use of software, to overcome Disability and Exclusion. (e-inclusion).
Curious to understand what makes people or even a brand flourish, I like to keep up-to-date with new thinking, while supporting others to use technology to overcome disability, not only by accessing a digital world, but enablement through collaboration and education to write computer code! Producing computer programmers of the future, who understand what is needed in Accessibility Software.
